OF DEVELOPMENT
 The Business
and Commercial Zone (Industry
Zone Škrljevo – Kukuljanovo) has
been in the constant developing process;
there has been planned the expansion
of work
plateaus and the construction
of new infrastructure buildings,
from which we can pick out the construction
of the Highway junction i.e. interchange
on the highway Rijeka – Zagreb, together
with the belonging branching-offs,
as well as the building of new Business
Service Centre.
The role of the Zone (Limited liability
company) in the transformation of the
Bakar Bay , as the economic unit, being
mutually complement and interchangeable
with the Zone, will have the great
influence and will take part in the
revival of the economy at this region
of the Republic of Croatia .
 Geo-traffic
conditions and the developed infrastructural
resources are essential for the development
of the City of Bakar , with all the
positive consequences for the whole
economy of the Republic.
Since its foundation, the Zone has
been planned in order to enable the
construction by stages (phases), where
each stage creates the functional entity.
Until today, there has been completed
the so-called Zero-Phase, by which
were created all the necessary conditions
for normal business dealings.
In the last few years, by purchasing
of building land there was provided
extra 270.000 m2 of the free land for
the next stage of development.
